When Joseph’s rent increased, and the landlord threatened to evict him, he first turned to a Veteran’s crisis line for help. You see, Joseph is a WWII Veteran on a fixed income, so the $50 rent increase was a major source of stress each month. AFW stepped in to negotiate a lower rate with his landlord, which worked for both of them. Now, he spends the holidays in his warm, cozy home.
